I currently teach high school math.  

I have four children, and the youngest is 12.

I do not like the effect that mainstream schooling tends to have on most students.  By the time they get to high school it is very hard to get them excited about math unless they already are.  I would like to explore ways to improve my teaching in general and also my thinking about math.
