Hello. I teach common core math 1 (and higher) in a North Carolina public school. I have already moved somewhat away fr "notes and practice" methods toward inductive and discussion methods, and I have small experience with task or project learning. I think that maths learning should come fr experiences. However, I wonder if Natural Math has to start at younger ages to be effective. How might I use your ideas as a key part of high school math courses? Are there resources or even curricula that approach HS math this way?

Thank you for reaching out, neighbor! Our home base is in the Raleigh-Durham area. Natural Math does work with older students, including adult learners. Maker math; emotional support; the sense of belonging with math - all these principles work at all ages. Among our resources, you probably want "Playing with Math" anthology. It has great high school activities and how-to: https://naturalmath.com/playingwithmath/ You can download the PDF to check it out.
